Module 722 in TOMS
C functions to support the IEEE standard for binary floating-point arithmetic.
Functions are provided that manipulate components of floating-point numbers,
recover fundamental arithmetic parameters, detect special quantities such as
infinity and NaN (Not a Number), and transfer the sign from one floating-point
argument to another. (See W. Cody and J. Coonen, ACM TOMS 19 (1993) pp. 443-451.).
